POLICE are appealing for information and have released CCTV after a man was assaulted during a night out in Blackpool.

At around 1:30am on the 9th of June, the 22 year old man was in Club Sanuk on the Promenade in Blackpool when he was approached by a man. In an unprovoked attack, he was punched in the face causing him to fall unconscious and leaving him with three broken teeth and a broken jaw. The offender then ran out of the club.

PC Emma Halliwell who is investigating the assault said, "This was a very nasty, seemingly unprovoked assault and I am very keen to speak to anyone that may have witnessed what happened.

"If anyone was around the area at the time and saw something but hasn’t yet spoken to us, I would ask them to come forward. Similarly, if anyone recognises the man in the CCTV, I would ask them to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on the new non-emergency number 101 or alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
