Break in at Fleetwood shop.

Friday, August 10th 2012 01:00

Police want to speak to these men caught on CCTV

Detectives are appealing for information after an attempted robbery at the Cheque Centre.

It is believed the break in at the Cheque Centre on Lord Street in Fleetwood took place sometime between 2:30am and 3:30am on the 11th of July.

It would appear that the offenders have approached the rear of the building, removed the iron security bars from one of the windows before removing the window from its frame and entering the kitchen area.

There has been a search of the kitchen area but it not believed anything has been taken.

Officers investigating are appealing for information and are urging anyone who thinks they may be able to help to come forward.

PC Kelly Saddler said, "It is likely that the offenders will have been disturbed by the alarm system sounding and so I would appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard anything around the time of the offence or to anyone who may have noticed and suspicious activity in the area leading up to the break in to contact us.”

Information can be passed to police by calling 101 and quoting log number LC-20120711-0260. Alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
