CCTV released following assault

Police have released CCTV images of man wanted in connection with an assault in a Blackpool hotel.

The incident happened in the Lane Ends Hotel in Blackpool Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, at 12.20am on May 28 2012. A man described as being 6ft tall, of slim build, clean-shaven and with short dark hair, approached the victim and started being aggressive to him and shouting for no reason. When the victim ignored the man, the offender assaulted him by punching him in the head a couple of times causing him to fall on the floor and collide with the corner of a pool table. During the attack the victim suffered a laceration to the top of his right eye.

Anyone who recognises the suspect or who has any information on the incident should contact police by calling 101 or alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
