Court hears Fleetwood pensioner dealt drugs

Monday, January 23rd 2012 00:00

Preston Crown Court

A Fleetwood pensioner caught with hundreds of pounds worth of amphetamine has told a court she'd turned to the drug to "put a bit of life into her".

Anne Houton used the "speed” to counteract the effects of prescribed medicines which were making her feel slightly dopey.

The 72 year old from Hazeldene Road even dealt the drug to friends to fund her own habit.

She's been sentenced to twelve months supervision after pleading guilty to a charge of possessing amphetamine with intent to supply.
