A former Blackpool Councillor is due before magistrates charged with child pornography offences.
Julian Mineur who most recently stood as an Independent candidate in Greenlands Ward is accused of 42 counts of possession and making indecent images of children.
Mineur of Common Edge Road was charged on Monday and has now been released on police bail.
He is due to appear before Blackpool Magistrates on 31st July.
