POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a man who made inappropriate and lewd remarks towards two schoolgirls in Blackpool last month.
The offence took place around 8.15am on Thursday 31st May when the two schoolgirls; both aged 13, were stood in a garden on Ashfield Road when they were approached by a man who made inappropriate sexual suggestions toward them.
One of the girls hit the man with an umbrella whilst her friend kicked him to his shin.
Both girls then ran off but the man followed them on foot for some considerable distance. He then removed his grey jogging bottoms and swung them around his head whilst making whooping noises, leaving his black pants on show underneath.
The man then skipped off up Faraday Way and the incident was reported to police.
The man is described as being white, aged between 33 and 35 years old, medium build with a ‘chubby belly' and around 5ft 8inches tall. He had dark stubble with a small scar on the left hand side of his nose, possibly brown eyes and spoke with a Liverpool accent.
He was wearing a mid-blue hooded top with the hood up, possibly with the Nike tick on one of the breasts, grey baggy jogging bottoms and dirty black Reebok trainers with distinctive multi-coloured laces.
Sergeant Andrew Parr said: "This is an alarming and distressing incident for the young girls involved which happened in broad daylight.
"We believe this man was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident and would appeal to anybody that thinks they recognise this man or with any information that could help our investigation to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
