Man given CRASBO to prevent him intimidating the people of Fleetwood

A MAN has been given a criminal anti-social behaviour order (CRASBO) which bans him from being drunk in public after his alcohol-fuelled behaviour intimidated the public.

20-year-old Jordan Beavers, of Kemp Street, Fleetwood, is also banned from being in parts of the Pharos, Mount and Warren ward areas of Fleetwood between 5pm – 3am and congregating with two or more people within these areas if they are likely to cause fear of safety to another person. He is also prevented from associating with Judd Black, Billy Black or Jake Knights within a public place in the Wyre borough.

Beavers’ curfew stands for six months and the other conditions for two years.

He was given the CRASBO as part of a bolt-on punishment after appearing for sentencing at Preston Crown Court. Beavers was given a 12 months suspended sentence and 200 hours of unpaid work for possessing and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.

The court heard how Beavers had created serious problems for Fleetwood residents through his criminal and anti-social behaviour.

PC Vikki Merrill, community beat manager, said: "Beavers has been a significant problem within Fleetwood. His presence in many parts of town has caused a great deal of intimidation and fear to many residents, who have then not wanted to speak to the police for fear of reprisals.

"The terms of his CRASBO will limit his ability to act in this manner and will hopefully make him reflect on, and change, his behaviour. Where a person is causing a community a particular problem we are dedicated to looking at ways in which we can stop this from happening and the successful application for this CRASBO demonstrates that.”
