Man in burns unit after car fire in Blackpool

A man's been rushed to hospital with severe burns after his car caught fire on Yeadon Way in Blackpool this morning.

The injured man has now been transferred to the burns unit at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Several motorists stopped to help, including smothering the flames on the man's body.

One of the first on the scene was Blackpool Council worker Anthony Brooke.
