Fire crews tackle fire at Baines school in Poulton

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 12:07

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service say that 6 fire engines have been sent to the school along with 1 aerial ladder platform.

They say it's taking place at a 3 storey block at the school.

They're using 2 hose reels.

There have been no reported casualties.

Baines School have now updated us on the situation, and say all the children are safe and there is no cause for concern.

It's understood the fire is centred on ducting in the roof space.

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus are tackling the flames.

The cause of the fire isn't yet known at this stage.
