Blackpool Council’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic will come under scrutiny on Thursday.
Councillors will debate the effectiveness of action by town hall leaders in tackling the emergency at a meeting of the Audit Committee which will be broadcast live on YouTube.
The main agenda item cover the council’s response to the Covid 19 emergency and its impact on services ranging from childrens and adults
services across to public health as part of it’s pandemic risk register review.
Committee chairman Coun Paul Galley said: “This is probably one of the most important Audit Committee meetings in Blackpool
Council’s history as we review the council’s response to the pandemic.
“We will look at what worked, what didn’t and what we can do both as acouncil and a community to come out of this a stronger better place.
“The fact the meeting will be broadcast live is a great opportunity to reach out to every citizen of Blackpool and I thoroughly welcome it.”
The audit meeting will be broadcast on the Blackpool Council Youtube
channel on Thursday June 25 at 6pm.
