Heartless thugs target Highfurlong School

The three damaged buses

Heartbroken children have turned up to Highfurlong School today to find their minibuses trashed and their school damaged by vandals overnight.

Police were called to the building on Blackpool Old Road in the early hours to discover vandals had been on the roof and caused major damage.

Headteacher Neil Holden says he arrived to discover all three of the school;'s minibuses had their windows put through meaning the children have been unable to go on vital trips out today.

A cherry picker being used by contractors on the site was also driven into the front of the school causing major damage to the entrance.

Anyone with information about what happened should contact Blackpool Police on 101
