Are you smart? Precise? Driven?
If so, you may very well have the skills needed to become a Detective Constable at Lancashire Constabulary.

The Detective Entry programme is your chance to be part of a professional and dedicated team carrying out crime investigations in a variety of areas.  These investigations will  be serious and complex cases and often involve vulnerable victims in need of safeguarding and support.  You will be at the forefront of policing innovation as we train, support and encourage you in your role as a Detective.

The Lancashire Constabulary Detective Entry Programme is a streamlined route to the role of a Detective Constable.  Initially joining as a student police officer, you will complete a structured development programme which will enable you to progress to the role of Detective Constable. You will be trained in law and procedure and learn how to conduct initial investigations.  You will then develop to become an investigator of serious and complex crime.  You will be supported throughout by experienced Police Officers and Detective Tutors to become a Detective Constable (PIP 2) Investigator.  At the same time, you will also gain an academic qualification from the University of Central Lancashire with a Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice.
