More cuts to Lancashire services

Lancashire County Council has backed 77 million pounds of cuts to services affecting residents in Fylde and Wyre.

Adult and childrens social care will be hit.

There are also plans to introduce more pay and display parking meters across the county.

Lytham, Cleveleys and Poulton are on a list of potential locations for pay machines to replace time-limited free parking.

One Lytham shopkeeper who has operated in the town centre for more than 30 years slammed the prospect of charging for on-street parking as ‘another nail in the coffin’ for local businesses’ while another long-standing business owner greeted it as ‘crazy and short-sighted’

There could also be more bus lane cameras.
