One person taken to hospital after Bispham Road crash

The incident happened at around 08:20 this morning

Radio Wave first heard reports of the incident at around 08:30 this morning with witnesses saying two vehicles had been involved in a collision and traffic was starting to build up.

Traffic in both directions was affected after the road was closed by police.

Police initially said that the incident was 'damage only.'

A spokesperson for the Ambulance service said that one ambulance had been working nearby and came across the scene.

That ambulance took one person to hospital for treatment.

A second ambulance was called to the scene as it was feared there may have been a second injured person.

They said that there was two people injured, one with neck injuries and one with chest pain.

One person has been taken to hospital.
