You're being asked your thoughts on the Stanley Park development.
Three public notices relating to proposed development at Stanley Park Golf Course, Blackpool will be published on Thursday 27 February and on Thursday 5 March in the Blackpool Gazette.
Following a tender process Holmes Investment Properties Plc were awarded preferred bidder status for Stanley Park Golf Course.
As the site consists of open space land, in order to progress proposals for the development and disposal of the site, the council is required to advertise its proposals and to consider any representations received before a decision is taken in respect of those proposals.
Notice 1 - relates to the proposed disposal of the east and the west side of the golf course for use as a golf course.
The council proposes to initially dispose of the east and west side on a short term lease followed by a longer lease of the west side of the course.
Notice 2 - relates to the proposed appropriation of the east side of the golf course to planning purposes.
The council proposes to change the purpose for which it holds the land to planning purposes in anticipation of the development proposed on the east side of the site.
In the event that the proposals set out in Notice 2 are approved, Notice 3 relates to the proposed disposal of the east side of the golf course by way of leases for use for a proposed leisure/lodge development.
The notices and plans of the land are available to view at the reception of the council offices at 1 Bickerstaffe Square, Talbot Road, Blackpool FY1 3AH or at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool FY1 1NF.
Any representations or objections to any proposals within the notices must be made in writing and addressed to the Growth and Prosperity Team, Communications and Regeneration Directorate, Blackpool Council, PO Box 11, Town Hall, Blackpool, FY1 1NB (Ref: Stanley Park Golf Course) or by email to email@example.com to be received no later than 5pm 19 March 2020.
It is proposed that reports setting out the proposals and any representations received will be presented to the council’s Executive for consideration in April/May 2020.
