Two prisoners from HMP Kirkham abscond on same day

Two men have left the open prison yesterday (Sunday 4th Aug)

25 year old Lewis Westwood and 35 year old Paul Archer are wanted after absconding from HMP Kirkham yesterday (Sunday, August 4).

Westwood, who is previously of Hillbrook Road, Leyland, was jailed at Preston Crown Court for 8 years in 2014 for grievous bodily harm with intent. He was recalled to prison on 8th March 2018 for breaching his licence conditions.

Westwood is 5ft 7in tall and of slim build. He has blue eyes, short blonde, brown hair and speaks with a regional accent.

He has links to Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside and South Yorkshire.

Archer, formerly of Staincross, Barnsley, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court in March 2015 to 12 years in prison for offences including aggravated burglary with intent, attempting to pervert the course of justice, legacy burglary and theft.

The 35-year-old is described as white, 6ft tall, of medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. He has a scar above his left eye and a tattoo on his right arm of a golden eagle.

Archer has links to the South Yorkshire area.

He could be violent if approached and we are advising anyone who sees him to call police immediately.
