Revenge is a dish best served on Valentine's Day!
We are already racing through January and before we know it, the next big date in the calendar will be upon us.
The 14th February is often a time for lovebirds to declare their feelings for each other with flowers, chocolates and poems. However, a conservation centre has come up with a gift for those who are more 'livid' than 'loved up.'
For the bargain price of just £1.50 you could be sat in your living room, smug in the knowledge that at a cockroach (somewhere in Kent) is named after your ex!
If you have no ill-feeling towards your ex, but have a friend who 'deserved better' - they can even be purchased as a gift.
The initiative was thought up by Hemsley Conservation Centre who say:
"We are offering the chance to name a cockroach in honour of your worthless ex-'someone' on this special holiday of love.
"We are highlighting these 'bottom of the barrel' creatures through our 'name a cockroach programme' (we think adopt is a little too strong, after all - you probably don't want to adopt your ex) to raise money for our projects at the zoo."
